Grace Evangelical Church 164 Flat Creek Trail Fayetteville 11:30am Lunch & Networking / Noon – Program Begins Economic Impact of Child Abuse- Krista Gonce Regional Prevention Coordinator -Georgia Center for Child Advocacy Georgia Center for Child Advocacy is leading a statewide initiative training adults to prevent, recognize and (appropriately) react to child sexual abuse. Next to murder, child sexual abuse is the most expensive crime in America. According to a Department of Justice formula, it is estimated that the immediate and tangible costs of child sexual abuse in FAYETTE County is $1.1 million annually. However, there is no measure for the intangible costs… Come hear from Krista and find out how YOU can be a part of the Community Plan to reach our tipping point that will shift the culture around prevention-it is EVERYONE’S responsibility.
