Prevent Child Abuse Georgia's Statewide Helpline
1-800-Children
The 1-800-Children Helpline (1-800-244-5373) is professionally staffed by operators from the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies
Coalition of Georgia. The service operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm to provide parenting
support for callers.
Operators at 1-800-Children will be available to provide parenting support, community resources, counseling services, referrals for legal needs, support about concern for the well-being of a child or family member, referrals about family violence issues, or other child maltreatment prevention issues.
The Helpline is NOT the number to call in crisis, or to report child abuse or neglect. Those calls should continue
to be directed to the Department of Family and Children Services' (DFCS) statewide centralized intake number
1-855-GACHILD (1-855-422-4453).
